Gasket use

Gasket is a plastic deformation, and has a certain strength of the material made of rings. Most of the gaskets are cut from non-metallic plate, or made by *factory according to the specified size, the material is asbestos rubber sheet, asbestos sheet, polyethylene sheet, etc.; there is also a thin metal plate (white iron, stainless steel) will be asbestos and other non-metallic materials wrapped up to make the metal-clad gaskets;

Ordinary rubber gaskets are suitable for occasions where the temperature is lower than 120℃; asbestos rubber gaskets are suitable for occasions where the temperature is lower than 450℃ for water vapour, 350℃ for oil, and the pressure is lower than 5MPa. For general corrosive mediums, acid-resistant asbestos sheets are commonly used. In high-pressure equipment and pipelines, the use of copper, aluminium, No. 10 steel, stainless steel made of lens-type or other shapes of metal gaskets. The contact width between the high pressure gasket and the sealing surface is very narrow (line contact), and the sealing surface and gasket are processed with a high degree of finish.
